BE EASY...
Be Easy…
The struggle is real.
Life can be a twisted trail full of potential pitfalls and adversity. Shaquille McKissic persevered through being homeless and being imprisoned on a felony burglary charge. On top of that, one of his best friends at Kentridge High School, Devin Topps, was murdered on Oct. 31, 2010. #SM40 – The Shaquille McKissic Documentary is ultimately a tale of his redemption.
The filmmaker behind this documentary, Mihkail Cooper from Just Visuals Media, faced his own set of challenges and obstacles when setting out to tell this story. Shot in two days, he was in a serious time crunch that most filmmakers can relate to. We sat down recently to get a behind-the-scenes look at how he was able to overcome these challenges and to find out how Kessler gear helped him. During our conversation with Mihkail we got an unexpected dose of advice that applies to filmmaking and life.
