SCRIPT TO SCREAM INTRODUCTION

SCRIPT TO SCREAM INTRODUCTION

Kessler is proud to present ‘Script to Scream’ – an eight part series beginning on September 1st, following the creators of the critically acclaimed series Bloody Cuts as they produce their new project, ‘The Outer Darkness’, in an in-depth behind-the-scenes journey dissecting all of their work in pre-production, production and post-production.

‘The Outer Darkness’ is the latest horror film from a UK creative team forged from producers and directors Ben Franklin and Anthony Melton, screenwriter Joel Morgan and Director of Photography Jonny Franklin.

Following the release of their most successful and critically acclaimed film to date – ‘Don’t Move’ (“a damn near perfect short film” – DreadCentral.com), the team ran the extremely popular BC Horror Challenge, a short film competition judged by respected industry figures and with submissions from film-makers worldwide.

As part of the competition, the team produced ‘Dare’ – a POV micro short that sees a teenage girl entering a haunted house and in April and following this were finalists in with their apocalyptic action film ‘Machine Stopped Working’; written, shot and edited in 48 hours for Sci-Fi London’s 2014 48hr Film Competition.

The team have seen their films played at many of the most highly regarded horror festivals worldwide, achieved a Vimeo Staff Pick, released a limited edition Blu-ray (that quickly sold out!) and won many awards for their “devastating and terrifying storytelling” (http://www.filmSchoolRejects.com) that saw them as a “force to be reckoned with” (http://www.fangoria.com).

Since Bloody Cuts closed its doors in June 2014, the guys have all taken on several exciting new feature film projects. But with a passion for short form storytelling, they couldn’t resist giving fans of their work another slice of terror that’ll give viewers both old and new many sleepless nights as they close their eyes in fear of ‘The Outer Darkness’.
