To setup your Pocket Dolly, place the manual hand crank handle over the sprocket post and firmly push down, the handle will snap into place. The hand crank is slotted to fit over the post. To remove the handle, hold the pocket dolly and firmly pull up on the hand crank. If you plan to push the camera on the dolly, you do not need to install the hand crank.
The Pocket Dolly allows for a myriad of mounting options. This manual will only cover the basic setup. The Pocket Dolly has three 1/4 20 threads, one at each end and one in the center. To mount the Pocket Dolly onto a tripod, screw your tripod quick release plate into either end of the Pocket Dolly Center mounting is not recommended for horizontal setups Then support the other end of the Pocket Dolly with another tripod, light stand, monopod, or other structure of equal height.

Mounting a camera to the Pocket Dolly
The pocket dolly carriage has several mount points of varying sizes to accommodate many different quick release plates, ball heads, and other camera mounts. Simply mount your camera mount of choice to the carriage using the matching threads.
There is not much maintenance needed really, except to keep the rails as clean as possible. If you every get debris stuck to the wheels you can try laying a “wet nap” or any thin wet cloth over the rail and then roll the cart over it to clean the wheel. You can also try compressed air to blow it out. If you ever get a nick in the composite portion of the rail you can try to “lightly” sand the imperfection out with fine sand paper. If the cart ever becomes lose to the rail you can adjust it by following the instructions of this video.
